“My name is Notion.   That’s Ivor Notion, Private Investigator.   The year was 2007.  I had recently been transferred to a small town called…er… London.   Here I got my first real job, but the supermarket fired me so I had to return to detecting.  On the east side of town, several women had been found naked -  dead.  By the time I had got there, the case had been covered.  Chance, and a big green car brought me that day to the lucky dip, a sleezy joint on the wrong side of town.  The time was around 7 o’clock.  Somebody had been killed about 2 hours before.  I wasn’t surprised; this place had a history longer than my arm.  They had been shot in the neck at close range. Instinct - and everyone else in the casino - told me that this was not suicide.  I WAS ON THE CASE OF A MURDERER”.

Stake & Chips was a brand new experiment in interactive video.  A chat forum placed on the website and enabled the viewers to question the suspects and suggest ideas to the detective.  This would prompt script rewrites, allowing the suspects to talk directly with members of the public not just on the forum, but also on video, making this a truly interactive film.

Although the interactive feature is now over, the whole project is still available for viewing  at www.videomajiconline.com
