“If a man's spirit does not walk around the earth in life it is condemned to do so in death" - Charles Dickens 1843

"A Christmas Carol In Prose, Being a Ghost Story Of Christmas" is how Charles DIckens described his "little Christmas Book" and was first published on 19th December 1843.  The story was originally written to enable Dickets to payoff a debt, and has become one of the most popular and enduring Christmas stories of all time.

Dickens saw his tale as one to be heard and shared, as Christmas carols spread joy and bring people together. He wrote it in staves rather than chapters - a stave being a section of music where the mood is all the same.  Each new stave brings a different feel and mood.  This is the case in A Christmas Carol, where each stave has a definite message.

"Another Day In Paradise" keeps the original feeling of the staves by creating a mood for each section of the opera and retells the classic story using popular music in a 21st Century setting.  This film is not about Christmas; it can be seen at any time by anyone, and the moral is the same.  Scrooge learns what it means to be a good human being

Peter Lloyd takes the lead role as Ebenezer Scrooge in the second Karaoke Opera.  This time, the songs were chosen to match the cast, giving a stronger feel to the soundtrack, and a visual effects extravaganza
